Helen's work at arc4 involves the development and appraisal of financial tools for client schemes, appraising products such as rent to purchase, shared equity and deposit match. She provides training for client staff to use these models internally and modelling support Helen is also responsible for the company’s accounts and financial management.
Helen qualified as a Chartered accountant with Ernst and Young, specialising in owner-managed businesses and providing audit and accounting advice along with cash flow forecasting and grant work for clients in a variety of industries. Subsequently she was Group Accountant at Umbro, an international sportswear company, for 5 years. Her experience included the production of the group accounts, budgets and forecasts, reporting to external stakeholders, due diligence and a trustee of the pension scheme.
Helen has worked with arc4 for over two years and has been instrumental in
- Developing a model to appraise the performance of Rent to Purchase products;
- Appraising the viability of affordable housing schemes more generally;
- Developing a model for a HMR Pathfinder to assess the level of public funding required for affordable housing products on new developments.
