Charlotte has worked with arc4 since June 2007joining as a Graduate Consultant. She has worked on a diverse portfolio of projects for arc4, including local, regional and sub regional housing strategies carrying out research,document reviews, stakeholder consultations, on line survey development and a number of community engagement activities. Charlotte has carried out research and a range of consultations on projects such as the Oldham and Rochdale Affordable Housing Business Plan;Sunderland Strategic Housing Market Assessment; Devon & Cornwall Homeownership Modelling; IDeA Good Practice in Strategic Housing; Northern Housing Challenge Evaluation; Tees Valley Strategic Housing Market Assessment; Stoke City Council A8 State Migrant Study; and Sneinton Market and Eastside Gateway Neighbourhood Development Plan to mention a few.
Charlotte is a graduate of the University of Birmingham’s Institute of Local Government Studies. She has worked for a range of public and private sector organisations including Birmingham City Council within both Social Services and Regeneration and also within the Regeneration division of Manchester City Council. Charlotte’s previous work experience lies in project management, monitoring, development, and internal and external funding programmes for both local government and the voluntary sector having also worked in the voluntary sector for the Princess Royal Trust for Carers and as a Grants Officer for the Big Lottery Fund.
Charlotte has a wealth of experience of ESF funding having appraised and written ESF applications for Manchester City Council Regeneration Programmes Group, working with project officers and other partners in order to develop a successful application and making alterations and comments on content before submitting to Government Office North West for funding approval. The role that Charlotte undertook also involved the monitoring and evaluation of ESF projects, appraising grant applications, scoring against set criteria and establishing what is required from an appraisers point of view. As the manager of the charity, Brecknock Carers Centre, Charlotte also has experience of applying for and successfully securing funding from ESF and is therefore adept at writing applications and translating grant guidance and meeting the set criteria.
