Scott Brand, Director MA (Social Policy and Politics), Housing Diploma (Merit), MMRS

Scott’s background is primarily in social and market research in the public and not-for-profit sector. He has managed over 400 research projects for a wide variety of clients over his long career.
He has held senior positions at CELLO mruk (Market Research UK/mruk) based in Newcastle and Glasgow and also with Progressive Partnership based in Edinburgh. Prior to this time he worked for five years with the Housing Policy team at West Lothian Council where he also completed his Housing Diploma (through Stirling University and Heriot Watt). He is a leading expert in qualitative and quantitative research techniques, with over 17 years experience in the field. Organisations worked with include local authorities, universities, police forces/police authorities, third sector organisations, registered social landlords, government agencies and public agency partnerships.
Scott's specialism lies in a broad range of research areas including housing and corporate research. Projects include customer/tenant satisfaction surveys, repairs and maintenance surveys, resident surveys and consultation/engagement as well as projects focusing primarily on housing needs and demand.
Scott is a Scottish Committee Member of the Market Research Society.
