After working with arc 4 to carry out a successful Strategic Housing Market Assessment in 2010, including a borough-wide household survey, we were very keen to carry on using their expertise and take forward the results of the research in developing a new housing strategy.

Arc 4 worked with us and our extended housing and other partners to develop the basis of a strategy that’s based soundly on the evidence produced by the SHMA, but which is designed to be adaptable in order to enable us to respond strategically to changes in national policy. Arc 4’s involvement has been invaluable, in that it’s meant that from the start of our work in assessing our markets to our current work in putting together our housing strategy, we’ve had their expertise and advice. We’re now in a position where we can confidently discuss the housing needs and demands of our borough and develop policy in response to the findings of the research.
