Economic Viability is Key

David Cumberland has been busy working with several Councils to develop their affordable housing policies through economic viability studies.

The team, made up of David, Helen Baxter and Ross Tolmie-Thomson, work together with Rider Levitt Bucknall, and have developed a sophisticated to model to explore the range of possibilities for test sites. Recent commissions include Cheshire West and Chester, Cheshire East, Tameside, Sunderland and Rochdale for which we have also carried out the SHMA work. These prove to be interesting times with much discussion surrounding issues such as land values and changing house prices and apartments.
